Motion City Soundtrack

Motion City Soundtrack, the most influential rock band in the history of the world, has been destroying the hopes and dreams of small children everywhere since 1997. This quintet of ex-Sears catalog hand models reside for the most part in Minneapolis, Minnesota; where it is always a pleasant 78 degrees and sunny. Errol Bumpstead, an 8 year old student at Wildwood Elementary school in Mahtomedi describes Motion City Soundtrack as, pretty good if you like that stuff. Justin Pierre, Josh Cain, Matt Taylor, Tony Thaxton, and Jesse Johnson comprise this feat of musical excellence. You, the reader of this brilliant paragraph of writing, formulated by a state college-paid education, can find out more about this academy award winning band as well as astrophysics and the whig party by visiting their website: www.motioncitysoundtrack.com. Enjoy yourself.

Jet Lag Gemini

In many ways, Jet Lag Gemini are early bloomers. While the New Jersey-based band met and formed while still in their early teens during high school, one wouldn’t suspect youth or a lack of experience from their mature and polished sound. Representing three countries between them, lead singer/rhythm guitarist, Misha Safonov (22), emigrated from Russia in 1993, lead guitarist, Vlad Gheorghiu (18) and his brother and bass player, Matt Gheorghiu (20), came to the U.S. seven years ago from Romania. Rounding out the band, drummer Dan Diliberto (18), the lone non-immigrant of the group, grew up in New Jersey.
The band’s first EP, Business (Doghouse Records 2006), with its playful and classic rock leanings, merely hinted at things to come. Jet Lag Gemini’s knack for blending the energy of more abrasive bands with great pop hooks and hair-raising guitar solos, has won them countless fans both locally and nationwide. This culminated in several national tours including dates on the Vans Warped Tour, as well as playing with Hellogoodbye, The Almost, The Matches, Halifax, and others.
The fiery opener, “Run This City,” from the band’s debut album, Fire The Cannons, demonstrates its unusual flare for dramatic melodies. Led by Misha’s commanding voice, Vlad’s unrelenting guitar heroics, and Matt and Dan’s driving rhythm, the album packs a powerful punch.
“The firing of the cannons signifies both the beginning and end of the battle,” says Jet Lag Gemini frontman, Misha Safonov. “Fire The Cannons traces the steps in the battle of self acceptance. These songs are about changes, loss of friendships and the dreaded arrival of responsibilities you face in the roller coaster days known as growing up. While these songs are very personal, I think we’ve managed to make an album that anyone can relate to.”
Produced by Jon Kaplan (The Starting Line, Lola Ray), Fire The Cannons is the perfect marriage of both shimmery pop and rock ‘n’ roll grit, and will be released by Doghouse Records on January 22, 2008. It will be a rock odyssey you will surely not want to miss it.

Blameshift

Blameshift released their first national record, The Test, May 1, 2007 with support through F.Y.E stores. The Test takes the listener through a journey of music that mimics the many tests of life, much reflected in the albums dynamic entirety. Produced by Michael Birnbaum and Chris Bittner (Coheed & Cambria, Straylight Run), Blameshift’s refreshing sound quickly started getting the recognition it deserved. Alternative Press Magazine named Blameshift, “unsigned band of the month” in July 2007. Within a month of releasing the record, Blameshift left it all behind and committed to non-stop touring from coast to coast. Their already established nation wide street team nearly tripled in size, creating the grass-roots fan base that will ensure the bands longevity. Sponsors such as Taco Bell, GHS Strings, Bogner and Sam Ash soon followed their launch world wide. The relentless booking efforts of band members Mann & Barbour led to a forth successful national summer tour followed by their fifth national tour in the fall of 2007
Before the release of the test, Blameshift has toured the US 4 times. Working unbelievably hard, they were able to successfully book, promote and complete two full East Coast Tours, a Mid-West/Southeast/East coast Tour and Warped Tour 2006.
Blameshift has shared the stage with Bullet for my Valentine, Amber Pacific, ZebraHead, Paramore, Tokyo Rose, Houston Calls, Socratic, Farewell, Senses Fail, Vaeda, Patent Pending and many others.

Nude (the band)

Comprised of Tony Karlsson, Bobby Amaro, and Bruce Martin. NUDE is starting to create it's own international buzz within the genre of indie-rock. The band spent over a year in the studio where they recorded their second full-length album titled "Pink Noise" which has since been distributed around the world. Being self-produced is nothing new to these guys. Ever since the band formation, the trio has been able to record/produce their own music, sign endorsements, heavily promote themselves, and has also toured the United States, Mexico, and Swedian. NUDE has already shot two music videos, the most recent of which features the new single "We Can Get Into This". Keep tab on these boys, because this NUDE revolution is just beginning.
